Affiliate disclosure
Your Best Breed earns money from some of the links on this site. This page explains exactly which ones, and what that changes.
What a paid link is
Some links to training programs, pet insurance providers and gear retailers are affiliate links. If you click one and go on to buy something or request a quote, we may receive a commission from that company. You pay nothing extra - the price is the same as it would be if you had gone there directly.
Every paid link on this site is labeled as a paid link at the point you would click it. We do not use unmarked links.
What it does not change
- Breed profiles are written before any commercial consideration. A breed’s health risks, costs and behavioral challenges are described the same way whether or not there is a product attached to them.
- We do not remove unflattering information about a breed because it is inconvenient for an advertiser.
- Recommendations are not sold. No company can pay to appear in a breed profile or to be ranked above another.
Programs we participate in
We are not yet enrolled in any affiliate program, so no link on this site currently earns a commission. As programs are added, they will be listed here and their links labeled where you click them.
Not professional advice
The health and cost information on this site is general research, not veterinary or financial advice. Breed-level statistics describe populations, not your individual dog. Talk to a vet about your dog, and read any insurance policy’s own terms - including its exclusions and waiting periods - before buying it.
